The Bheri zone, with an area of 3,606 square miles and bounded by the Karnali zone on the north, the Uttar Pradesh state of India to its south, Rapti zone on the east, and, the Seti zone on the west, this zone lies partly in the mountains and partly in the plains. Many beautiful lakes and the rivers, Bheri and Karnali form part of this zone. Minerals like Cobalt, graphite, copper, gas etc. are found in this zone. Various small scale and cottage industries are also found here. In the plains, transportation is also not a problem. That is why, various factories are to be opened in near future at Nepalgunj town of this zone which include a match factory, a paper mill, a cardboard factory, a plywood and catechu factory. The district of this zone are Dailekh, Jajarkot, Surkhet, Banke and Bardai.

BHERI RIVER
Originating in the Kanjiroba Himal of western Nepal, this is one of the important rivers of Nepal. One of the fourteen Zones of Nepal, Bheri Zone has been named after this river. The river ultimately meets Karnali River at Surkhet district.
BHARAT
Brother of Rama or Ram Chandra, Bharat was put to the throne of Ayodhya after Rama was exiled for 14 years. Although Bharat was born of one of the step-mothers of Rama, he was extremely devoted to his elder brother Ram and was not at all willing to become the king of Ayodhya in place of Ram. However, because of the insistence and tricks of his mother Kaikeyi, King Dasaratha was compelled to offer him the throne after his demise. After the death of King Dasaratha, he, therefore, was compelled to rule the kingdom of Ayodhya which he did in the name of his brother Rama by placing his (Rama’s) shoe on the throne instead of himself sitting in the throne.
BHAKTAPUR
The third important city of the Kathmandu valley situated to Kathmandu’s east. Abounding in masterpieces of ancient arts and sculpture and abode of long-standing traditions and culture, living examples of traditional methods of cultivation and indigenous industries, the city is still capable of representing its glorious pictures of the past. BHAISAJYA BUDDHA
Bhaisajyanguru is known as the Medicine Buddha, also called the Healing Buddha. He is said to dispense spiritual medicine when properly worshipped. It is even believed that an efficacious cure may be accomplished by merely touching the image. In Tibet, he may be represented either as a Buddha or as a Bodhisatwa. As a Buddha, he has the urn or a small round bulge above the bridge of the nose. Another superior mark of a Buddha are the Ushnisha or a protuberance in the skull of the Buddha, short and curly hair. He wears a monastic robe and is seated crossed-legs, his left hand lying on his lap in meditation the mudra or posture, usually holds the medicine bowl, while the right hand in charity posture or Daan mudra holds either a branch with fruit, or the fruit alone.
BHAIRAV
Bhairv is one of the forms of Shiva who is known by various names as Mahadev, Pashupati, Shankar, Maheswar, Narteswar, Nilkantha etc. As the most worshipped among Hindu Gods, he is the destroyer of the universe after the completion of Kaliyug, the aeon of sinners. However he has many aspects to be visualised in his incarnations and manifestations. His terrific forms are Kankala, Virbhadra and Bhairav. As Bhairav, Shiva is very popular and worshipped widely. BHAIRAHAWA
A noted trade and agriculture centre of western Nepal, Bhairahawa is the headquarter of Rupendehi district of the Lumbini zone. The new name of this town is Siddhartha Nagar. Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha is in the vicinity of this town. An active trade and export centre, Bhairahawa also attracts visitors from neighbouring India as from many parts of the world. Rice, wheat, tobacco, mustard seeds, etc. are the agricultural products of Bhairahawa, which are also exported to other countries, mainly India.
