BHERI ZONE

The Bheri zone, with an area of 3,606 square miles and bounded by the Karnali zone on the north, the Uttar Pradesh state of India to its south, Rapti zone on the east, and, the Seti zone on the west, this zone lies partly in the mountains and partly in the plains. Many beautiful lakes and the rivers, Bheri and Karnali form part of this zone. Minerals like Cobalt, graphite, copper, gas etc. are found in this zone. Various small scale and cottage industries are also found here. In the plains, transportation is also not a problem. That is why, various factories are to be opened in near future at Nepalgunj town of this zone which include a match factory, a paper mill, a cardboard factory, a plywood and catechu factory. The district of this zone are Dailekh, Jajarkot, Surkhet, Banke and Bardai.
