SAPTARI

 This district is lacated in the plane areas of Sagarmatha zone. Area of Rajputs and Yadavs and many other ethnic groups related to Indo-aryan origin as well as people from the mountains, this district is so far heavily dependent upon agriculture. Trade and industries are still in infancy in this district inspite of the fact that people from this area play important roles in the national politics and governance. Population of this district is 570282  and the capital town is Rajbiraj.

SANKHUWASABHA

 Sankhuwasabha is a nothern district of Kosi Zone, its Headquarters being Khandbari. The airport of this district is Tumlingtar which is also growing as a new residential as well as a commercial area. This district is famous for orange orchards and handicraft products. 

SANKHA

 Sankha or the Conch Shell is also an object of religious and cultural significance in Nepal. This also used as the offering vessel during sacred worshipping rituals Sankha is a symbol of Lord Vishnu. In Hindu tradition, the conch shell seems to have been extensively used in wars in ancient times in making sharp calling sound to get the people and army informed. The white conch shell whose humming sound proclaims the glory of the saints. It is especially given as a symbol to the gods as the sound vibrated through a shell penetrates far and wide.

SAMA, BALA KRISHNA

 (b 1903) A man of great talent, Bal Krishna Sama is the master of many branches of arts and literature. Formerly the Vice-chancellor of Royal Nepal Academy, he has written many volumes of poetic dramas, poems and the epic, philosophical essay and short stories all of them top graded in Nepali language. He is a famous painter, a drama actor and also a sculptor. 

SALYAN

 This is one of the districts of Rapti Zone. Khalangabazar is the headquarters of this district and has a population of  205907.

SAKTI

 The female form of energy, Sakti is the common term in Hinduism and Mahayana Buddhism. A figure of a woman embraced by a deity is his Sakti and the combination as such represents the perfection. See Shakti for details and diverse connotations 

SAGARMATHA ZONE

 with an area of 4873 square miles, Sagarmatha is one of the 14 zones of Nepal.   This zone stretches from the Tibetan border on the north to the Indian border on the south and is bounded by kosi zone on the east and janakpur zone on the west. The highest peak of the world i.e. Mt. Sagarmatha (Everest) lies in this zone. Lofty Himalayas and high mountains as well as valleys and plains are there in it. Natural resources such as mica, copper, limestone, salt, potash, timber, herbs etc. are potted in this zone, but none are exploited. There is also a great possibility of generating hydroelectricity. Industry is not in developed stage in this zone as most of the people depend solely upon agriculture. However, small scale industries and cottage industries are found at various places in this zone. Though several roads are being constructed, yet transport here is still in very backward stage. Solokhumbu, Khotang, Bhojpur, Udayapur, Siraha and Saptari are the districts of this zone. 

SAGARMATHA, MT

 Sagarmatha is the original local name of Mt. Everest. The literal meaning of Sagarmatha is the head of the seas. See Mt Everest

RUPANDEHI

 This district of Lumbini zone where Lord Buddha (Gautam Buddha) was born at Lumbini garden, is the famous pilgrimage of Buddhists all over the world. 

Rupandehi is a famous district for multiple reasons, the most important being the abode of Lumbini gardens, the birth place of Lord Buddha. This district is in Lumbini Zone and that the name of the zone itself is named after Lumbini gardens of this district. The total population of this district is 708419  and the capital town is Siddhartha Nagar or Bhairahawa. 

RUPA LAKE

 Rupa lake of kaski district is a beautiful lake just as the name suggests. Beautiful surrounding of this lake attract romantic people to pass several days together near the lake. The area of it is 1 sq. miles.
