Sankha or the Conch Shell is also an object of religious and cultural significance in Nepal. This also used as the offering vessel during sacred worshipping rituals Sankha is a symbol of Lord Vishnu. In Hindu tradition, the conch shell seems to have been extensively used in wars in ancient times in making sharp calling sound to get the people and army informed. The white conch shell whose humming sound proclaims the glory of the saints. It is especially given as a symbol to the gods as the sound vibrated through a shell penetrates far and wide.
