KALPA

Kalpa is just a day and night of Bramha who is the creator of the universe and one of the Trinity of topmost Hindu gods, namely, Bramha, Vishnu and Maheswar. Actually Bramha’s one day is equivalent to thousands of yugas or aeons and millions of years for human and all beings.

KALKI

Kalki is another name of Lord Vishnu or the presumed form of would-be Vishnu. Hindu religious text believe that Lord Vishnu will take incarnation in the form of Kalki in future by the end of Kaliyug or the iron age. Out of four Yuga’s, namely Satya, Treta, Dwaper and Kali, Kali is believed to be the Yuga of sinners. When all the virtues, righteousness and good deeds gradually go on diminishing, the world will be dominated by sinners. KALI YUGA

Kaliyuga is the one of the four eons or ages and the fourth Yuga in order. It is also known as Iron age. A cycle of four Yuga’s make one Mahayuga.

KALI GANDAKI RIVER

Kali Gandaki is the most important river in the Gandaki River system of Central Nepal, having its source in the Mustang Bhot Himal. This river passes at various places through deepest gorges of the world. Kali Gandaki actually flows in between the famous peaks of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, both situated above 26,000 ft. from sea level. Kali Gandaki river meets another famousfamous river Trisuli Ganga at a point in the northern parts of Narayangarh of Chitwan.

KALI

Kali is a terrific looking goddess who is always projected either in black or in blue colour. This fierce form of the goddess is actually symbolic of the mood of goddess Parvati,  escort of Lord Shiva. This represents one out of many forms of Parvati  particularly to play her role against the evils and demons. Kali is presented in many forms and roles as a goddess of mysteries. 

KALCHAKRA

Kalchakra means wheel of life and it turns the wheel of life.  Kalacakra is also the title of a work in one of the division of the Kangyur, the great series of Buddhist texts. It is possible that Kalacakra is the personification of that work. Kalacakra is usually projected as a Yidam with four heads and a third eye in each of them. He may have twelve or twenty four arms but never has more than two legs. In his Yi-dam form he is shown in dark blue colour. His body is covered by a tiger skin and wears a belt formed of Bajras. He is always presented as stepping by his left leg on two demons. The personage under the right foot holds a bow and an arrow as well as a Trident and a Khatvanga.

KALASH

In Hindu tradition, Kalasa contains the primeval water carried by Brahma, the creator. In Buddhist iconolography, the Kalasa helds Amrit, the sacred water or the elixir of immortality. It appears with Padmapani. It is also one of the auspicious sign and symbolizes plenty among the eight Astamangalas. Poorna Kalash  (Full Vessel)is a water vase which is full of all the characteristic of goodness. As it is full of all goodness it is treated as an auspicious object for all human beings. When the religious ceremonies are held Poorna Kalash is kept at the center surrounded by eight vessel. In Poorna kalash, there will be the signs of eight auspicious symbols. 

KALA

The term Kala pronounced as Kaala is used for death in Nepali languages. However, Kala is the nomenclature of the Lord of death. Another popular name of Kala is Yama. See Yama for more details
