There are altogether six seasons in Nepal namely, Basanta, Grishma, Varsa, Sharad, Hemanta and Sisir. Each of these seasons is of two months and that Basanta starts approximately by the middle of March. However, Basanta is translated as spring, Grishma as summer, Varsa as rainy season, Sharad as autumn, Hemanta as winter and Sisir as partly winter and partly spring.
