Ayurvedic medical centre established in Ilam



Ilam, July 23: A new Ayurvedic medical centre has been established with the objective of providing Ayurvedic medical service from the district headquarters. 

The government plans to set up 91 such branches across the country this year. The centre established at Ilam municipality-3 was inaugurated on Wednesday by Chief District Officer Bishnu Kumar Karki. 

Ayurvedic doctor Gauri Shanker Shah and assistants Kalpana Sharma and Ganesh Shrestha will run the centre. It shall provide treatment on orthopaedic, stomach-related ailments, high blood pressure, respiratory problems among others, said Chief of the Mechi Zonal Ayurvedic Centre Dr Saroj Prasad Bishal. 

The government has been expanding the centres of the traditional form of medical system across the country considering the increasing popularity of the same. 

On the occasion, CDO Karki urged the centre in-charge to make sure that the facility is run effectively and regularly. RSS
