Quake-hit seven schools in Ilam receive assistance from district people in UK

Ilam, July 5: A group of generous people from Ilam and currently residing in the United Kingdom (UK) has provided financial assistance of Rs 350,000 to earthquake-hit seven schools in the district. 

The Ilam Society United Kingdom gathered the funds, which will be spent for constructing temporary huts at Chamaita-based Kanchanjunga Primary School, Adarsha Lower Secondary School (Siddhithumka) Kalikadevi Primary Secondary School (Aamchowk), Puwaimai Secondary School (Shantidanda), Diyalo Lower Secondary School (Fikkal), Youth Primary School (Sulubung) and Janata Lower Secondary School (Sankhejung). 

Society Chairperson Kamal Rai handed over the amount to principals of schools concerned amidst a programme here today. RSS
