Python found in Hastichaur drawing crowd

Gulmi, July 1: A rare python found in Hastichaur VDC of Gulmi has been drawing large crowd of curious locals.

The python weighing around 20 kilogrammes is more than four feet long. It was found in Palukha in ward no-8 of the VDC on Monday evening. Locals who saw the giant snake savouring a cat informed the district forest office, which has taken in into its custody.

The python is now at the District Police Office after locals stop the forest office from releasing it into the Resunga forest on Tuesday morning. The python will now be released after finding a suitable habitat for it, said chief of the forest office Bishal Ghimire. RSS
