Four die of unknown disease



Lahan, June 9: Four persons died and around 20 persons are serious after an unknown disease spread in Chandra Ayodhyapur VDC-6, a dalit settlement in Siraha district. 

Jibasi Sada, 35, Tulawa Sada, 65, Garwa Sada, 65, of the VDC and Kaushilya Sada of Lahan Municipality died due to the unidentified disease, said Ram Kripal Saha, Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Siraha. The affected people complained of weakness and vomiting problems all of a sudden and later became sick. 

Others suffering from the unidentified disease are undergoing treatment at the District Public Health Office (DPHO), Siraha. 

Locals had reported to the local police office and the doctors available in the district after the villagers suddenly began falling ill. 

A police team deployed at the village following this took initiatives to send the sick people to the district hospital, said SP Saha. 

The district hospital has taken the blood samples for examination, it is learnt. A team of health workers with specialist doctors have been deployed in the VDC to provide medical services in the village, according to the DPHO, Siraha. RSS
